update part two

Dash in Pineapple express

finally dl'ed a copy of pineapple express, and got the screen grabs of my piece in the movie.  i would like to say peace to my man Flex currently upstate for hooking up the wall, and the good folks at columbia for fed ex ing the check.  Yes when my stuff is copyrighted and i was glad they came up with the money and saved me lawyering up.....unfortunately that wall is no longer there but lives on in celluloid or whatever the hell they make movies out of these days.

P.S if your a mac cat and you use quicktime and you always been pissed you cant play .avi's, i have a solution.  http://perian.org/#detail

UPDATE:  made a new flash video for the front page, which was a pain in the pooper, sorsen squeeze worked good, but embedding the video in dreamweaver 8 wow, i had to call in some help, anyway video is up.

well its a sad day, my trusty friend i came to so passionately called "gun 1"......died today, a grissly death with the main spine of the gun coming completely out and detaching.....

the gun died ironically on the Mac 10 piece, farewell my good buddy......

Mac 10 update

putting the finishing touches on the MAC 10 piece, mounted all the electronics and as you can see in the video the bullet is no activating the sound

buff monster show AUG 23

Fran and i went to the buff monster show

i know iam not suppose to like buff monster, and everyone i know does not like buff monster, but i like buff monster.......hes doing some interesting stuff, and the show was very classy.....

needless to say there were a lot of red dots and average prices were in the 2 g's....there was probably a good 20 large pieces which were a combination of painting and silk screening on birch, with the loft carrying another 20 print type pieces which were for the most part 250 and red.

nice crowd, good bar, the people varied but being on washington in CC, there was no shortage of buying customers

Updated Violet piece

This is a piece i did a while back, but i finally got all the kinks worked out and added a clock, also did some fairly interesting stuff with the left over metal, tring not to waste anything.  Also for each piece there is a hidden webpage, but you'll only know what it is when you pick up the piece...these pieces are turning into a lot of work wheeeeww, iam beat and this was just a re up of sorts.......came up with some new logos and such for the back also.

been experimenting with adding some of the metal siding i have left over to the slappies, looks real intresting, been taking some of the left over hang tags and leaving the strings out and applying those to the sticker .......just having fun

some major changes to the dash life as of late......no need to go into details as iam sure we all have our details and whining on a blog aint exactly interesting.....but expect some new bizarre, heart strings art to come out of these changes, stay tuned

updates to the 'mac 10' piece, sound

added some new features to the mac 10 piece which is currently in process, made little video wanna see it here it go

the "iam 8 bit show"

Ms Fran and i decided to take in the "iam 8 bit" show this year, and after a magic mountain opening day in summer styled line, and various yalping hollywood girls in mini skirts parading past,  we made it in, great show, big KOFIE sold a piece, Kolt 45 in the gold cans, and about a hundred very interesting artists made it worth the wait.  Something bout these big shows and being a big guy, i get hot and greazzzzzy, realllll greazzy, so after the show, we went to hamburger habit on santa monica, at the end of the swishhhhhh alps and had a veggie burger with bacon and played some galaga......whatcha know bout number 2.....hahaha

fran gets an iphone 3g

Well the day finally arrived, a month or so after the day actually arrived, but to miss the crowds of fan boys and other such geekdom, we finally went to the apple store and picked up that marvel of modern technology, the iphone.....

Christmas morning was the feeling as an anxious Fran woke me up to go and stand in the imaginary line at the apple store.

Couldnt have been easier and after some bantering with the of so femine apple guy, we or i should say Fran got her Jebus phone.

Working great, until we noticed a slight dot on the screen but as we were shopping at fry's for new puppy accesories in manahatten beach, we jumped over to the apple store and got the new one......bang bang, very cool cats over there, no problems.....

Moral of the story, iphone good, fran happy, life is good

having fun tonight with the girl fran, went to a closing in downtown, then on to tommy's on "beverly"..then on to malibu for a drink at the malibu pier club

the humble birch wood tree

i use a lot of birch in my work, and i think its relevant to stop and thank the humble birch wood tree for giving me a medium to be successful......

sounds weird i know but it was once alive and gave its life to be a piece of dash art....
