'New Works' is an exhibiton of, you guessed it, new works by Patrick Martinez and Eyeone. We will be releasing a collaboration 'zine titled 'Old Works,' and Patrick Martinez will be unveiling his amazing Go-Getters foam hand. The two-man show will run from March 21st- April 19, 2009 and showcase Eyeone’s clean, limited-color work alongside Martinez’s more colorful and bubbly figurative paintings rooted in strong social commentary.
wanted to update my experience with the skype for those thinking of using it.
as you recall from the last episode, your hero had bought some credit to try out the service on the "liberal wifi connection" that i have.
i was fairly impressed so i went ahead and purchased the monthly subscription, and so far so good, the girl loves it, and we have worked out the one ring on the cell phone system hahahah.
so in summation 2.95 thru the credit card every month, unlimited calls us, and canada, voicemail, and caller ID via my cell number works nice.
had a little tech issue with the voicemail, but signing out and back in after 5 minutes did the trick.
just put up the new site, thanks to preysone for the inspiration. I finally got a CMS (content management system) iam happy with, takes a bit of tweaking and for me button pushing, but i have a clean and easy way to put up all my content.
if you need a site with homeboy hosting, let me know, dash@dash2000.com, my rates are "nice"
ok, well iam not steve jobs over here, but i have noticed that the image links take you sorta hostage when you click on em in the Iframe on the webpage, tring to work it out, hang with me thinking it might have to do with picaso heres an upload from flickr
what up yall, ok got a new skype account and we tring it out.
first impression is ok, the sound quality is pretty decent i would say about 8 so far. i have the 10 credit thing, and i must say doing it thru the paypal and echeck is not the way to go took 3 days, use your credit card much faster.
added a couple "call me buttons" to the page, so if you click it will call me direct on the skype, dont cost anything for you or me if you have skype.
tried it with the boss and even the video looks great, iam using the ol school isight camera and it worked dynamite with the camera and the voice.
we might get a subscription which is 2.95 a month but we gonna see how we like it first.
only thing thats not so hot, for local calls, they charge ya a 3.9 connection fee, which i didnt know bout and its waived on the subscription one, but live and learn and pass it on.
the "celebrated" man Kofie one is having a show this saturday, i strongly suggest yall go get your 401k money and stroll down, dude always puts his best out, and you will not be disapointed. 01 gallery Map Link

The Los Angeles County coroner's office on Saturday identified the driver of an SUV who was killed when his vehicle veered off a freeway ramp and landed in a backyard in Hawthorne.
Armando Jose Huante, 20, of Los Angeles was transitioning from the southbound 405 Freeway to the eastbound 105 Freeway about 8:50 p.m. Friday when the vehicle crashed through a guardrail, clipped a house and came to rest in the backyard of a house at 115th Street and Sundale Avenue, Hawthorne police said.
Huante was pronounced dead at the scene. California Highway Patrol Officer Alex Gonzales declined to speculate whether rain was a factor, although it had been raining heavily in the area.

Murals and the New Sign Ordinance - Important Hearing Jan 22nd
This is an important meeting regarding murals in the City of LA. As of now all fine art mural on private property are currently outlawed in the City of LA. Come to this meeting to show that muralists will not stand for this. Now is the time to stick up for murals and free speech in Los Angeles.

New Sign Ordinance Proposed by the Planning Department - January 22, 2009 The City of Los Angeles Planning Department has proposed a new sign ordinance. This ordinance is posted at the following link: http://cityplanning.lacity.org/ on the www.lacity.org web site under “Plans & Ordinances” – “Proposed Ordinances”. This proposal is being presented at the Planning Commission meeting on Thursday, January 22, 2009.
Summary of Main Points The proposed new sign code treats all murals the same as a commercial signs, supergraphics or billboards. All new signs, including murals must be no larger than 100 square feet in size. Although all sign regulations should be content neutral, the Planning Department hopes to allow large fine art murals to only be allowed through a process where a building owner gives ownership of the mural to the city through an easement process. However, this easement process is not actually included in the currently proposed sign ordinance. The easement process is being left out in order to be dealt with at some future date by Cultural Affairs. This is a big mistake. The proposed sign ordinance is a complex puzzle, and all of the pieces need to be in place in order for it to function.
whats good yall just got the word the next printed show is going on in the bay area, details are thin but there is a date and a location so keep your rabbit ears up for further developments and if you going to be in the bay on the 7th of march go by and get a dash print, working on the design as we speak, of course you know i gotta be toppin the l.a version......
morning all, so i have been tring out craigslist as of late, with less than stella results, but i decided to keep listing because to be honest its free and easy. One thing i did notice is people willl inquire about pieces and either waste your time by flaking out on an assigned meeting or just never respond to your follow up, weird, but last night i got my first phishing email, and ohh boy what a classic, click the image to laugh along with me, "its nice to read from you.
been a year of ups and downs, and sideways for the kid, got my laser beams out, and 09 is going to be a great year.
more than likely have to get me a jobbie job this year, or you'll have to buy way more of my art, either way hahahhah, more than likely going back to the computer programming gigs this year, but the art will keep coming like it or not
so hoping your out of jail and reading this, and that you have a good year as well.
