Dash's view on the "war on terror"......

Man oh man.......how bad can we possibly fuck this up......iam reminded of our other half hearted attempts.....

the war on crime

the war on illegal immigration

the war on underage sex

the war on poverty

the war on obestity

We just can not leave well enough alone.....we constantly have to be fucking with the brown people, we always have to be saving them from themselves.....

i just got done reading a paper by the Rand Corporation (if you dont know who they are basically they are a think tank group here in santa monica, very smart) called "Defeating Terrorist Groups", which was presented to the house armed services committee back on sept 19th 2008.....

In the study it basically entails what we have all been thinking, we just dont know what the fuck we are doing over there, the paper states "the United States cannot continue conducting an effective counter-terrorism campaign against al Qa’ida without understanding how terrorist groups end."  there is a lot more of course but the over all theme was summerized to basically this......The U.S. military] should generally resist being drawn into combat operations in Muslim countries where its presence is likely to increase terrorist recruitment." and recommended, "ending the notion of a 'war' on terrorism" and "Moving away from military references would indicate that there was no battlefield solution to countering terrorism." In conclusion the RAND study advised: "By far the most effective strategy against religious groups has been the use of local police and intelligence services, which were responsible for the end of 73 percent of [terrorist] groups since 1968."

Basically.....

People dont like being invaded or having wars and or missle thrown at em.  the middle east iraq / afgantastan are fucked up places with corrupt governments just like ours and have been for quite some time.  Civil war, genocide and oppression are ways of life and us drop lifting in haliburton and costco's aint gonna change that.  Its not 100 percent clear that they want democracy, if you look up iraq, lots of shit has been tried and not a whole hellav a lot of it has worked as it pertains to government.

We need to stay out of that part of the world, we will only get more entangled into bitter infighting and religious zeolotry.  

Everytime we bomb a suspected al-Qaeda hot spot and end up killing everyone in a hospital, the religious radicals recruit more people that just might have lost there son/daughter mom and or dad in the "collaridal damage".

i having a real hard time standing by and watching these fucking religious rednecks (see bush, christian coalition) fuck this country off, by being the drunk asshole at the party that makes the chicks leave cause they couldn't handle they high.
